Programs & Community:
Using Therapeutic Arts
Mental health doesn't only happen in a therapy office.
Why we do this work…
Mental health care shouldn't be something people can only access if they have the right insurance, financial resources, diagnosis, communication style, or ability to fit into a traditional model of therapy.
We created Art People Creative Inc. because we believe people deserve care that recognizes the complexity of who they are.
Through art therapy groups, community programming, and partnerships, we are working to create a more accessible and inclusive mental health community - one where people can feel seen, supported, and understood.
We believe connection, creativity, education, and community are important parts of mental health and well-being. That's why our work extends beyond individual therapy.
Our programs are designed to meet people where they are - with different needs, identities, communication styles, abilities, and experiences.
There is no one right way to participate.
What we offer…
Creativity can be a powerful way to explore emotions, practice mindfulness, connect with others, and simply make space for yourself.
Our creative programs may include art-making, expressive activities, low-pressure creative experiences, and other opportunities to explore creativity without the pressure to be "good" at art.
No artistic experience required.
Groups can provide something individual therapy can't always offer: the experience of realizing you're not the only one.
We offer and develop groups centered around shared experiences, interests, identities, and mental health needs. Groups may focus on topics such as neurodivergence, emotional wellness, creative expression, life transitions, or other areas identified by our community.
Our goal is to create spaces that feel supportive rather than performative - where people can participate in the ways that work best for them.
We believe mental health education should be accessible to all humans outside of traditional clinical settings.
Our workshops and educational programs may explore topics such as:
Mental health and emotional wellness
Neurodiversity
Creative coping strategies
Stress and burnout
Self-expression
Communication and relationships
Caregiver support
Accessibility and inclusion
Art and creativity for well-being
Programs may be offered to individuals, families, schools, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and other groups.
We believe meaningful mental health support happens throughout a community - not just within a therapist's office.
We partner with organizations, schools, healthcare providers, community groups, and other organizations to develop programs that respond to the needs of the people they serve.

What makes our programs different?
Accessible
We strive to reduce unnecessary barriers to participation and consider different sensory, communication, financial, and accessibility needs.
Inclusive
We intentionally create spaces where people can show up as themselves without having to mask, perform, or explain their identity.
Creative
We use creativity as an avenue for connection, exploration, and expression…not as a measure of artistic ability.
Community-centered
We listen to the communities we serve and develop programming around real needs rather than assuming one approach works for everyone.
Low-pressure
Participation can look different for everyone. You can talk, create, observe, participate quietly, or take a break.
